Scholastic Back to School Campaign

I oversaw the Back to School creative campaign for Scholastic’s Teacher and Parent e-commerce sites as well as a new initiative called ClassroomsCount, a platform where teachers can raise money to purchase Scholastic products for their classrooms and students. The campaign need to feel exciting, appeal to both parents and teachers, and evoke the nostalgia of the classroom. I worked with designers Tom Nguyen and Elsie Aldohando to craft four potential design directions which included moodboards and example designs. I presented the directions to stakeholders and “Illustrated” was the winner since it met all of the campaign needs in a flexible and scalable way. I directed Tom and Elsie in the creation of a color palette, font selections, and an illustration library before moving onto the design assets which included e-commerce marketing designs, emails, and social posts.
