Scholastic Holiday

This is a holiday campaign for the Scholastic Store Online, Scholastic’s e-commerce site for parents, based around the concept of “Give the Gift of Reading”. Parntering with my design team, I developed a look and feel inspired by the exuberance and anticipation of giving and receiving presents during the holiday season. For the overall look of the campaign, I was inspired by the work of Mary Blair and her geometric approach to illustration. Graphic shapes and a monochromatic color palette allowed the campaign to be playful and sophisticated at the same time. Ranging from greens and blues to pinks and corals, the color palette made the campaign unique and inclusive. The campaign came to life in emails, store hero designs, a landing page gift guide, social posts, and articles on the Scholastic Parents editorial site. I developed and presented the overall concept, art directed all of the photography, and oversaw the execution of all the design assets. Designs and illustrations were by Tom Nguyen and photography by Josh Loring.
